Sargent promoted

Dan Sargent, executive director of Rebuilding Together of the Triangle, was recently named to the company’s board of directors. Sargent has been with the affiliate since 2008. Before joining Rebuilding Together, he completed an AmeriCorps term of service with Habitat for Humanity of Charlotte, where he worked as an assistant construction supervisor. Sargent has a bachelor’s degree in public administration from the School of Government at the University of North Carolina.

Creedmoor chief of police

Keith King was recently hired as the new chief of police for the City of Creedmoor. King was sworn in at the March 25 Board of Commissioners’ Regular Meeting. King was raised in Louisburg, where he still resides with his family, wife Kristen and daughter Morgan. He is a 20-year law enforcement veteran with a record of distinguished professional service at both the state and local level. King also has a master’s degree in business administration from Pfeiffer University, a bachelor of science degree in criminal justice from Mount Olive College, and an associate’s degree in criminal justice from Vance-Granville Community College.
