Together in Education

Lynn Road Elementary received $2,912.79 from Harris Teeter’s Together in Education (TIE) program. This is the second of three payouts the company will make to schools during the current school year.

Scholarship banquet

The 34th annual Trentini Foundation Scholarship Banquet will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday, April 12, at The Forks Cafeteria, 339 Brooks St., Wake Forest. The scholarship is given annually to an outstanding graduating senior at both Wake Forest High School and Heritage High School. The recipients are chosen for strong character, high academic accomplishment, community volunteerism and athletic participation.

Scholarships available

Golden LEAF Scholarship information and applications for 2014-15 are available at www.CFNC.org/GoldenLeaf. A total of 215 awards, valued at $12,000, will be available for students attending a qualifying North Carolina campus and are funded by a grant from the Golden LEAF Foundation.
