Get to know her: Gypsy is an 8-year-old Basset Hound with impeccable manners. She likes to cuddle with people and other dogs, and does well in the car. Video of Gypsy can be found at www.cbhr.com/gypsy.

For more information: Carolina Basset Hound Rescue is a volunteer-staffed, nonprofit organization that rescues, rehabilitates and rehomes unwanted basset hounds in North Carolina and South Carolina. To see more than 50 bassets available through the group or to fill out an adoption application, go to www.cbhr.com. Adoption fees range from $100 to $250 to help offset costs. Because of the high numbers of dogs in need of rescue from kill shelters, CBHR is unable to accept owner turned in dogs at this time. To contact the group, call 919-708-4247 or email rescue@cbhr.com.
