Seniors dance club

Pullen Park invites seniors ages 50 and older to its dance club, held from 8 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Wednesdays at Pullen Community Center, 408 Ashe Ave., Raleigh. The club dances to live ballroom music, including foxtrot, waltz, swing and Latin tunes. The cost is $8 per person, per week. For more information, call 919-831-6052.

AARP to meet

Jameriala Jones will speak at the Raleigh-Wake County Chapter 3869 of the American Association of Retired Persons from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 15, at Abbotswood at Stonehenge, 7900 Creedmoor Road, Raleigh. Adoption, foster care

The Raleigh Adoption and Foster Care Support Group will meet from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 15, at the Children’s Home Society of N.C., 131 Wind Chime Court, Raleigh. Bridge Club

The Capitol Bridge Club meets to play competitive bridge from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesdays and Fridays at Glen Eden Park, 1500 Glen Eden Drive, Raleigh. Membership dues are $1 per person, per meeting.

Grief support group

Grief support group meetings will be held 6:30-8:30 p.m. Tuesdays in classroom 1008 at the Wakefield High School Ninth Grade Center, 931 Durham Road, Wake Forest. Participants will be guided through a series of discussions as well as explore tools to assist them through the grieving process.
