For more information: German Shepherd Rescue and Adoption is a nonprofit organization of dedicated volunteers committed to offering essential care and adoption services to neglected, stray or surrendered German Shepherds. The group is based in Raleigh and works in the Carolinas and Virginia. While in the care of GSRA, shepherds are spayed or neutered in addition to having other medical needs addressed. They are placed in foster homes to be nurtured, loved and housetrained. Foster parents learn each dogs temperament and work on obedience and behavior training, allowing the dog to be placed in an environment best for both the dog and the adopter. Adoption fees are $250.
