Thrift shop sale

Energy Assistance Program

A program on the Low Income Energy Assistance Program will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Northern Wake Senior Center, 235 E. Holding Ave., Wake Forest. Low-income residents will have a chance to get information and complete applications for help with their energy bills and weatherization for their homes. Bring a photo ID, recent heating bill, social security numbers for all household members, income verification for anyone living in the home and bank statements. Benefit concert

Center for Volunteer Caregiving benefit

The Red Carpet Rendezvous benefit for The Center for Volunteer Caregiving is scheduled from 6:30 to 10 p.m. Friday at Prestonwood Country Club, 300 Prestonwood Parkway, Cary. The event will be emceed by Mark Roberts of Mark Roberts Enterprises and include wine, hors d’oeuvres, desserts, a jazz performance and silent and live auctions. Proceeds will help The Center reach the growing number of seniors and adults with disabilities in Wake County.
