Neighbors are banding together to help two residents of historic Oakwood after they were the victims of a home invasion on Jan. 7.
Jason Beyer, who was shot during the attack, suffered a spinal injury and now needs rehabilitation and accommodation.
To help with the couple’s bills, Trinity United Methodist Church will hold a benefit concert with the William Peace University Singers, an a capella group, at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the church, 824 N. Bloodworth St., Raleigh.
The students will perform a variety of music – both sacred and secular – during the concert, which is free and open to the public. A love offering will be collected for the Beyers. For more information, contact the church office at 919-832-1390.
