Pet of the Week: Dr. Fuss

Get to know him: Dr. Sany Fuss is an 8- or 9-year-old, 54-pound basset hound available for adoption through Carolina Basset Hound Rescue. He got his name, which rhymes with Dr. Seuss and means “foot” in German, for his large paws. Dr. Fuss is a bigger boned basset, but not fat, and he still loves to hike for a few miles, jump around for his meals and gallop through the house after his foster brothers. He has perfect house manners, is fully housebroken and has never met a stranger, neither dog nor human. Dr. Fuss is very affectionate and has the “basset nudge” perfected, but he does know when enough is enough and will go lie down after some scratching.
