Pet of the Week: Toby

Get to know him: Toby is a 5-year-old rat terrier and Jack Russell terrier mix available for adoption through Best Friend Pet Adoption. Toby, who weighs about 25 pounds, is a sweet and friendly dog and loves all of the people he has met. He likes to be where everyone else is, and enjoys a warm and comfy lap to snuggle on. Toby loves squeaky toys, treats and sleeping on the couch. He is a lively little dog and like most dogs of his breed, he needs to understand who his pack leader is. He would do well with larger dogs in his home, or he could live happily as an only dog. Toby was rescued from the Burlington shelter where he was due to be euthanized. The staff at the shelter loved him so his date kept being put back, but time finally ran out and a desperate plea came out to BFPA to save him.

The adoption fee for dogs is $195, which includes the spay/neuter, microchip, vaccines, treatment for any other medical conditions and monthly flea and heartworm medications.
