Get to know him: Robbie, a 5-year-old tan Chihuahua, is available for adoption through the SPCA of Wake County. Robbie is still learning the ins and outs of living in a home environment as he was rescued from a puppy mill earlier this year. He is still a little shy and will need some time to warm up and let his true personality blossom. Robbie would do best in a quiet household and would enjoy walks around the neighborhood and work on his socialization skills. He really enjoys the company of humans once he feels comfortable. He loves to snuggle and would love to be carried around like a baby he is full grown at 13 pounds. His new owner will need to teach him basic commands, work with house-training and show him that the world is not a scary place. He has recently completed treatment for heartworm disease.
For more information: To learn more about Robbie and adoptions at the SPCA, call 919-772-2326 or visit www.spcawake.org. His adoption fee is $75, which includes his neuter surgery, heartworm treatment, vaccines, microchip and more. The SPCA Curtis Dail Pet Adoption Center is located at 200 Petfinder Lane in Raleigh. The SPCA also has a temporary location in Cameron Village shopping center, open Thursday through Sunday. The store will have kittens on site all the time, and dogs and puppies according to volunteers schedules.
