Art After Hours at Sunflower Gallery

Linda Long, a Wake County teacher who works with students who have autism, is the guest artist in January at the Sunflower Studio & Gallery, 214 E. Jones Ave., Wake Forest. Long is a pastel and watercolor artist who paints landscapes, skyscrapers and winter scenes. The opening reception is set for 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, Jan. 13. Program on how to make giclées

The Pastel Society of North Carolina presents a program titled “The Art of Making Giclées” from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 21, at the North Carolina Museum of Art, 2110 Blue Ridge Road, Raleigh. Artful Color owner Damon Rando will speak about making giclées and how to get prints of your own work made, and share a video of how they create them. Free and open to the public.
