Help art, charity or trails

Raleigh's annual "Art Attack" youth arts exhibit reception is scheduled from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 14, at the Sertoma Arts Center. The exhibit runs March 5-30. The Friends of the Mountains-to-Sea Trail's annual meeting is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 13, at the new Haw River State Park north of Greensboro. Lunch is $10 and payable at the door. The trail hugs Falls Lake and the Neuse River. For more information, call 919-698-9024.

Raleigh's Parks and Recreation department is hosting a junior gardeners program from 6:15 to 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday, March 17, at the Green Road Community Center. The $5 program is for kids ages 6 to 12. Registration is required four days in advance. For more information, call 919-996-4818.

Two Curves Fitness Centers are conducting food drives for Urban Ministries of Wake County through the end of March. Food can be dropped off from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, and Saturday from 8 to 11 a.m. at 4237 Louisburg Road or 404 E. Six Forks Road in Raleigh.

The 2010 Raleigh-Wake Senior Games is scheduled for March 26 through April 11 at various Wake County sites. The registration deadline is Monday. The athletic and artistic competition is for adults older than 55. For more information, call 919-831-6851.
